Boards & Committees
The City Planning Commission, seven persons appointed by the major and city council, recommends to the council long term and broad-based goals and standards to guide property uses and construction in the city. Five of the members are residents of Mission Woods. Two are from cities within three miles of Mission Woods.
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA), five persons appointed by the mayor and city council, has the power to grant variances to certain zoning ordinance requirements. Appeals from the BZA decisions go to the council.
The Architectural Review Board (ARB), five persons appointed by the mayor and city council, reviews proposed external changes to property in the city. ARB approval is a pre-requisite to the issuance of most building permits. Appeals from ARB decisions go to the council.
