Keith and his wife Nancy have lived in Mission Woods since August, 2019. They have four children who live in Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC.
At the end of 2021, Keith retired from the Kauffman Foundation after nearly 23 years with the organization. Most recently, he was a director in the Public Affairs department, overseeing content and digital strategy on behalf of the Foundation's efforts to give all American equitable opportunities to find success through education and entrepreneurship. He is currently helping Nancy build her public relations and marketing company, Mays Communications.
Keith has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and has worked in a variety of capacities doing journalism and communications throughout his career. Keith devotes free time to creative pursuits, including photography, ceramics and cooking.
