Council Member, Paul Hartley

Paul Hartley has lived in northeast Johnson County since 2018 and has called Mission Woods home since 2021. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and also holds a master’s degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.

Before joining the City Council, Paul served as a resident appointee on the Mission Woods Architectural Review Board and the Animal Review Hearing Board. He also serves as Mission Woods’ representative on the planning committee for the Go Green Community Event, a regional effort involving nine cities in northeast Johnson County.

Paul’s working life has largely involved helping organizations function well at a practical level, with an emphasis on clarity, follow-through, and avoiding unnecessary complexity.

Paul is married to his wife, Erica Hartley, and they live in Mission Woods with their two children.
